I bought this because I'm trying to convert to a more natural cosmetic regimen after learning about the dangers of things like parabens and the harsh detergents found in more conventional products. This product met all my criteria: it's sulfate free, paraben free, is organic and made of natural ingredients, doesn't test on animals and of course does a good job of conditioning my hair and smells great! Another plus, it is color protecting for those of you who dye their hair. Also, something I noticed that didn't happen with conditioners I used in the past is that you can actually smell the conditioner throughout the day. That's great because I love the orange and patchouli scent! Smells just like a real orange but dampened a little bit by this great earthy scent.
I have thin hair and this product conditions just right. It doesn't make my hair feel weighed down or oily, which is awesome. I'm in college and the water here seems to really mess with my skin and hair's oiliness, making it worse than usual. But my hair does not look oily with this. It almost seems to add thickness/volume to my hair, which I'll take anyday. However, I also make sure to use a relatively small amount. Because it is natural, you have to let it sink into your hair a little longer and your hair might not feel the smoothness you might feel right after/during conditioning with a more synthetic product. It does work wonders though!
Even if you're not totally sure about buying this, I'd give it a try. 36oz for around $20 is a deal for a quality conditioner.
